Michelle Davis (English) Online Learning and Literacy Coach


Currently lead ESL Teacher she has also been the Instructional Program Lead for English as a Second Language in Halton District School Board. Michelle leverages her experiences in the classroom to inform her passion – supporting educators to create new and better opportunities for their students. As a School Programs Team member, she had system-wide responsibility for all classrooms, leading an experienced team of over 50 ESL professionals and providing leadership to 110+ sites, 45,000 students, 6,000 employees in the areas of:
*Student achievement and engagement
*Literacy and numeracy across the curriculum
*Inquiry-Based/Collaborative Learning processes
*Board and School Improvement Planning for Student Achievement
*Policy implementation-organization, interpretation of operating rules and guidelines, application and coordination with H.D.S.B. ongoing operations
*Growing Success – Assessment and Evaluation
*ICT
Michelle is an avid user of new technology in the school system and leads others with implementation and application of the G-Suite Educational products including Google Classroom, Google Meets, Hangouts and Google Communities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Science from Ottawa University, a Bachelor of Education from York University, and additional qualifications from Western University.
Michelle is available to consult and collaborate with business, industry, social agencies, and other institutions who want to better understand and leverage her contacts in the Education Sector.
