Jon Springer (English) – Education Consultant for Job Search and Support, for Families with Children that are Neurodivergent and Disabled
As an education consultant, Jon supports families that need inclusion services for their children to find international schools that fit their families. He also offers help constructing positive parent-school relationships.
As a trailing spouse in an international educator family with the two neurodivergent children, he knows what it’s like to search for international school jobs with neurodivergent children. He also knows the challenges and complexities of school relationships when you work in the same building as your children attend school in.
Jon’s two sons were diagnosed as intellectually disabled at ages 4 and 3 in 2015. This happened in a summer between a move from the UAE to a Tier 2 city in China. Today, after seven years of scouring the international school marketplace and lots of interventions, his sons:

are no longer classified as intellectually disabled and are near average IQ;
are diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, slow processing time, and several more words beginning with dys-.
You can read his two-page story, “30 Months to Find One International School,” on pages 22–23 of this International Admissions Bulletin. In there, it may be clear that he’s a passionate advocate for better inclusion at international schools that also founded Parents Alliance for Inclusion. As a consultant, he subcontracts to ensure clarity for when he’s an advocate and when he’s a consultant. You can hire his consulting services via Remfrey Educational Consulting.
