Colegio El Camino is a Private K-12, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization governed by a board of governors made up of parents in our community. El Camino has a current student population of 380 students. The majority of students are Mexican nationals but the school is represented by 22 nationalities that include Americans, Canadians, Australians, Israelis, Japanese, Malaysians, Spanish, French, British, Swiss, Venezuelan, Brazilian, Argentinian, Peruvian and other Latin nationalities. The increased diversity is a result of our international accreditation with Cognia ( formerly the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (S.A.C.S) AdvancED), the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. We have just received our authorization visit for the Middle Years Program (MYP) in September 2023. Additionally we are 1 of 40 Cognia accredited schools in Mexico demonstrating our commitment and adherence to the high standards of quality required by their organization based out of the United States. We are 1 of 120 IB World schools in Mexico and of over 5500 schools around the world in 153 countries. The International Baccalaureate is renowned worldwide as the vanguard educational program for global learners. We are also registered with the Mexican Ministry of Education in all sections. Our school is proud to offer the vanguard education in Los Cabos to students from all nationalities, religions, cultures and socio-economic standing. Our school provides students with a safe and caring learning environment supported by trained and certified staff from multiple nationalities. In addition to our bilingual curriculum we offer many support services including certified and licensed psychologists, a mentoring program, career and college counseling, afternoon academic academies, afternoon sports program, the Camino Language Acquisition Support Program (C.L.A.S.P), para-academic workshops and the IB Diploma CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) program. Communication is a key component in any successful institution and to guarantee that parents are informed and the lines of communication are open and easily accessible we are equipped with our fully bilingual website www.elcamino.edu.mx and our interactive learning management system Toddle
