The Jungle School is nestled in the lush jungle at PachaMama Eco Village in beautiful Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Our mission is to hold a loving space that favors the development of children as whole and responsible beings with awareness of themselves, a strong sense of community, great respect towards nature and a love for all life. Our school is a place where children develop their unique potential, innate curiosity and creativity.
Our children learn with their minds, hearts, hands and feet, using all of their senses.
We create an environment where children aged from 3 to 10 years develop:
- Emotional, social and spiritual intelligence
- Problem solving skills
- Self-confidence, resilience and adaptability
- Deep connection to nature and the world around them
Our students are from all over the world. The intercultural experience that our students receive empowers our kids to develop broader perspectives, cultivate values and ethics, and appreciate the richness of human cultural and spiritual traditions.
We are an experienced team of international educators and specialist teachers from Costa Rica and around the world. We bring a range of educational pedagogies and learning theories that align with our community’s world view of making the world a better place to live.
Our teachers and support staff provide a stimulating program for our kindergarten and grade school students. We have specialist teachers that offer weekly classes in art, drama, music and gardening. English and Spanish are the main languages spoken and taught at school.
